Build an eight-channel recording plan
The current model is the 6108K 8CH recorder. Camera channels, physical powered ports and the PoE power budget are separate limits. Match the camera load and recording settings to the supplied hardware.
Install the recording drive
The No HDD option supplies no recording drive. Install a suitable surveillance HDD, initialise it in the recorder, then check live views, scheduled recording and playback. The listed 14TB maximum is a model reference; it does not determine retention days.
Connect and review
Use HDMI or VGA for a local display. ONVIF provides a path for compatible third-party cameras, while event metadata, audio and advanced controls depend on the camera, firmware and recorder combination. Use the storage and compatibility guides below to plan the installation.
