Equipment checklist and local network path
- 4 fixed PoE cameras, one per planned view. Lens, mounting, weather rating and required detail remain to be confirmed.
- 1 compatible NVR with at least 4 recording channels. Camera quantity, PoE ports, bandwidth and drive support are separate checks.
- 4 camera cable runs with connectors and suitable mounts; measure actual routes before ordering.
- Compatible recording drive(s), a setup/review display and local network equipment. Add a PoE switch if recorder ports or power are insufficient; consider backup power for the complete recording path.
- Fixed cameras
- Ethernet → compatible NVR PoE ports, or a properly sized PoE switch
- NVR → compatible local recording drive(s)
- NVR LAN → router for optional remote access; display for local review
Verify addressing, total PoE power and link/recorder bandwidth. Local recording needs a working local network and power; remote access needs connectivity and model-specific setup. A PTZ can supplement inspection, but cannot keep every direction in view at once.

4 cameras × assumed 4 Mbps each × 24 hours/day × 14 days = 2.42 decimal TB of video payload. This bitrate is a planning input, not a specification of a listed model. Excludes audio, filesystem overhead, reserved space and growth. Confirm supported drive capacity and measure actual retention.
